Smiles

Brightly colored smiles,

Laughs worth a million miles,

Hands held tight,

Don’t give up without a fight.

Same old setting,

Made from lies of letting

Tear fall down

Cheeks painted like a clown…

Pretty, pretty, pretty…

Locked in the big scary city.

Cold and glistering

Was anybody listening?

Clean and tidy

Cheers on every Friday!

No one sees

What’s above the knees…

I am not a saint

I left you in fields of bloody demise,
With words of hope that were all lies.

Come morning I hear you suffered in turn,
Leaving you there, I left you to burn.

My actions involuntary,
Yet on the contrary

I knew, when I left through the door,
That there will be blood once more.

After all has been said and done,
I must admit it was quite fun

To play you all like fools and dolls.
Now excuse me, the Devil calls.

Done

When ‘enough’ is just a word

And there’s nowhere else to turn,

When the world seems so absurd

And you wish it would all burn.

That’s when you see the colors

Of our doomed humanity.

You will find that your brothers

Fell into insanity.

It is best to close the page,

Forget what you once held dear.

Turn away from war and rage

Or be consumed by your fear…

Smile

Be it heaven,be it hell

Somehow it all goes well.

But in a world meant for man

Nothing goes by the plan.

Questions asked and forgotten,

Aren’t we so very rotten…

All that’s meant for wanting eyes,

Has been buried beneath lies.

Not alone

Mirror, mirror, standing tall,

Have you seen this one at all?

With a smile, or a frown,

Maybe wearing a golden crown.

Here today, tomorrow, never…

They might think they are so clever

Hiding with the world close-by,

Never around to ask why.

Tucked away so far from sight,

No where near the burning light,

That can show what is shrouded

With them all, it’s getting crowded.
